Generic Moduretic
(Generic name: Amiloride Hcl/Hydrochlorothiazide)
Moduretic Uses
Moduretic is used in the treatment of urination at nighttime. Moduretic is a diuretic or water pill.
Fluid in your body is decreased by the increase of water and salt lost in urine.
How Taken
Follow directions your physician prescribed. A glass of water should be taken with each dosage and a
glass of milk or some food if upset stomach occurs.
Moduretic Precautions
Use extreme caution if you are driving or operating any machinery, this medication can cause dizziness.
Milk products low in sodium or substitutes of salt which contain potassium should not be taken while on this drug.
Missed Dose
A missed dose can be taken whenever you remember it. Double doses should not be taken though.
Moduretic Side Effects
Moduretic side effects which may occur are thirst or appetite increase, urination in excess,
tiredness, dizziness, headache, feet or hand tingling, weight changes and sunlight sensitivity.
Storage
This medication should be stored room temperature and far away from moisture or the heat.
Overdose
If an overdose is suspected contact your emergency medical facility immediately or 911.
More Info
If you suffer from disease of the liver, diabetes or stones in the kidneys, tell your physician
before tasking Moduretic.
