Generic Ocuflox
(Generic name: Ofloxacin)
Ocuflox Uses
Ocuflox or ofloxacin ophthalmic is used in the antibiotic treatment of eye bacterial infections.
How Taken
Use Ocuflox eye drops just as your physician prescribes. Shake the eye drops gently before using to mix well.
Ocuflox Precautions
Ocuflox can cause severe vision blurriness, use precautions when driving or
handling any machinery. Use of other eye drops or eye medications should not
be used until you speak with the physician.
Missed Dose
Take the dosage as soon as remembered. Double doses should not be used.
Ocuflox Side Effects
Vision blurriness, itching, crusting, tearing, stinging of the eyes, light
sensitivity and a odd taste within the mouth are all possible side effects of Ocuflox.
Storage
Ocuflox should be kept at room temperature and cap should be tightly secured at all times.
Overdose
An overdose of Ocuflox is unlikely. If overdose is suspect then with water flush
the eye and call your poison control or emergency room for further instructions.
More Information
The eye dropper is sterilized and should be kept from touching any surfaces,
including your hands and eyes. Contact lens wearers should speak with their
physician about their lens wear during treatment.
